Bike Hire Included - A good quality bike suited to the route and terrain is included in the price of our self-guided trips. Each hotel has bike storage and gives a warm welcome to cyclists. All bikes come with a lock, puncture repair kit and a pump. Most bikes are fitted with a pannier bag to carry the items you’ll need during the ride. Local support is on hand in the rare event of a problem with your bike, although you will need to be able to fix your own puncture if you get one.
E-bike options - We offer the option of electric bikes on certain self-guided holidays. Electric bikes (or e-bikes) assist you when it gets tough; especially on uphill sections or longer rides. This allows you to conserve your energy, and makes your experience much more enjoyable if you don’t like uphill riding. You can then throw yourself into the easier ascents, flat parts and descents, and the bike will recharge when you’re using your own pedal power. If you’re interested in using an electric bike, just enquire at the time of booking.
