Explore operates with purpose. Keeping sustainability in mind and working hard to increase the positive impacts our business creates, and minimise the negative. We are a responsible business that cares for our staff, our partners, our customers and our planet. We know operating in this way is a journey, we’re not perfect, we’re just working hard to improve a little each and every day.

Of course it’s easy for us to say that we are working hard to do the right thing, we’re biased! So we have welcomed an independent audit with Feefo, our trusted review provider, in partnership with Ethy, a company built on the idea that finding ethical, sustainable businesses should be easier for consumers.

Holding ourselves to account

Feefo has partnered with sustainability accreditation specialists, ethy, to provide its Sustainability awareness solution, supporting brands to verify their sustainability claims. Each ecolabel displayed is as a clear sign that the specified criteria relating to sustainability have been met.

Using a verification system based on the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and requiring evidence to prove commitment and action before awarding a trust mark they strive to eradicate greenwash and help consumers make informed choices.

We want to be honest and transparent about where we are on our sustainability journey, communicating what we do well and what we need to work harder on. We want to strive towards creating more positive impact through our business and we think it’s important that we use independent people to verify our actions.

What our badges mean

	We have a robust Animal Protection Policy, based on supporting the Five Domains of animal welfare. Our simple traffic light approach helps us ensure we put the animals welfare first at all times.
	All staff are supported to lead active and low-carbon lifestyles, work flexibly to achieve a good work-life balance and encouraged to get involved with developing Explore’s sustainable, purpose-led approach to business.
	Explore are a certified Living Wage employer, following independently-calculated data to ensure a decent standard of living in the UK.
	All employees have two volunteering days each year, many of these are spent giving back to our local community through litter picks, tidying up a hospital garden or helping out at a wildlife sanctuary.
	We have an annual charity budget to support initiatives that are important to our staff and to our customers.
